City of Tauranga Pipe Band offers free tuition in piping and drumming. Lessons are on Monday evenings 7pm at Otumoetai Primary School.
Playing in a pipe band is not only about looking good in a kilt! Learners become part of a tradition while accumulating skills in music, performance, and technique. Then there is competition teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship. But most of all the learner becomes part of the band community and lifelong friendships are made.
