So close… the City of Tauranga Pipe Band had a great weekend at the national championships in Hawke’s Bay. The band came away with a win in the MSR (Set) and we won the Street March in Napier with our ‘drummers-only intro’ gaining a bit of attention. This was our first championships with Drum Sergeant Neil Mogey leading the corps alongside Pipe Major Warren Aitken. The band finished runner up in Grade 3 behind Canterbury Caledonian Society. A great step up for the band. Thanks to our many supporters.
